Olympic National Park- the Hoh Rainforest

The rain forest is like nothing I've ever experienced before. It felt like we were in another world- like dinosaurs could pop up around any bend; that we were in a place that was older than any place I could have imagined. We didn't run into any dinosaurs, but we did get pretty close to an elk! The pictures hardly do justice to the awe inspiring moss hanging off of ancient looking trees, and how beautiful the light looked coming through the leaves and soft curls.

This mushroom was huge

One of our favorite trees

a great picture from the hall of mosses trail. Thanks, German tourist guy, for taking this for us!

oh baby look at those roots
