Encinitas

A view from the Charnow's backyard

Madalaine, how does they garden grow?
By the way, this plant is called a "succulent"

another corner of the backyard

Is it time for the sass yet?
Of course! There's a pitcher (or what's left of a pitcher) of "Pink Panties" which is beer, pink lemonaide, and vodka. So delicious. You need adult supervision while consuming those bad babies.

Mosaics on the corners of the streets of downtown Encinitas

Windchimes at the bazaar. I bought one for Will for his garden. I'm not sure if he's following the blog, but if he's not, keep it hush hush!

Pictures from what may possibly one of my favorite stores of all time. It's called Coast Highway Traders. They had all this different ethnic stuff, including Indian and Mexican from Dia De Los Muertos.

Aye caramba!

All the trash cans have these cool paintings that the kids from the elementary schools did.

An awesome day on the town was completed with the infamous BillFest. Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures ourselves of this righteous celebration of Bill 's (the Charnow's beloved neighbor) 40th birthday bash. But believe me, it was a ton of fun. There was a taco stand, a glass skull full of tequila, and two bands that Jesse Charnow played drums in.

  1. i love that an elementary schooler painted 'the scream' on a trash can! did you know that dan aykroyd sells crystal skull vodka? it has something to do w/ the mystical powers of the 13 crystal skulls and also the power of celebrity and drunkeness...
