Coming Full Circle- New York, NY

It was a big night of goodbyes at the Charnow house. Bill loaded up the tour bus and took of for Santa Cruz, and then it was time for Max and I to head home ourselves. I was anticipating a horrible plane experience since we'd be cooped up for about 5 1/2 hours. It went pretty quickly. They gave me a soda and animal crackers, and I even got to watch some good old Nickelodeon and some MythBusters while I doodled and stared out of the window slack jawed.

Go Padres!

After the zoo, we saw the Padres play against the Cubs!We met up with Sam's gang of high school friends, plus Mike, Rhonda, and Uncle Woody.

The PetCo stadium is swanky. However, Padres fans are kind of weak. The stadium was pretty empty, and I think there were just as many Cubs fans as Padres fans there.

The game was uneventful until the very last innings. Chase Headley hit a double to tie the game 1-1. Then after an intentional walk, Blanks (#8) hit a 3 run homerun to win the game with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th.

We got to see the elephants have sex, but Max missed it, so unfortunately we don't have any pictures. Trust me on this one, an elephant's penis is bigger than you're whole body!
